We design spaces for people to do life in along the Northern Colorado Front Range and we love it!
Our belief and approach to design is that you don't have to sacrifice comfort and functionality to have a magazine quality look to your room. With good design you can have both the usability and the aesthetics. We often see designers being all about the "looks" of a space and not incorporating the elements into the design that can make your life easier and more enjoyable. Kim and I truly love accomplishing all the above!
In our own home, for instance, we have two teenage boys that are in a rock band together. Every time they would bring their equipment home from a show it would get dumped into the living room (about 6 feet inside the front door) instead of taking it downstairs and putting it all away. They argued that they wanted to be able to pick up a guitar upstairs whenever they felt like practicing and their amps were heavy so getting them in and out to the car was a pain, so it worked well for their guitars to be right there. We rearranged our furniture, moved an art piece, and came up with a simple design that embraces and incorporates their equipment and their lifestyle.

I love how easy it is for the boys now and I love how it looks too! Often times when you embrace both the look AND the functionality in a space it gives you a unique design that fits your personality perfectly...which is better than a room in a magazine!
